International Falls - International Falls Mayor Harley Droba stopped by The Morning Show with Kris and Will on Monday to update the Borderland on several projects and situations around town. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is in the process of revamping Highway 53 in International Falls, Mayor Droba gave a project update.
Highway 53 is not the only roadwork scheduled for this summer and fall. Mayor Droba updated the town on the 82 city blocks due for an upgrade this summer and fall.
The focus of the most recent board meeting was a contentious discussion of an alleyway off Highway 53 that may, or may not, lead to a new gas station. Droba explained both sides of the issue, and how they are planning to forge a path forward.
Months after postponing the 4th of July celebration, the Town of International Falls does have something in the work for Labor Day.
