International Falls - Friday morning, Minnesota 3-A Representative Rob Ecklund joined The Morning Show for "Let's Talk About It". Among many topics and bills being discussed at the state capitol, only one was signed into law. Thursday, Governor Tim Walz signed the Police Accountability Law into effect. Rep. Ecklund says that the bill ended in a compromise.
Though Ecklund was pleased overall that the act had achieved forward momentum, other bills were unable to come up with the required votes. Among the bills which were voted down - the lingering bonding bill.
With Governor Tim Walz using his emergency powers to institute a mask mandate, many Minnesotans are wondering when the mandate may end.
The mask mandate may come at a fortuitous time for the Borderland, as the coronavirus has led to increased positive case totals in the past few weeks.
