Senator Tina Smith calls in to KSDM Morning Show
Senator Smith called into KSDM/KGHS morning show to talk about Senator Smith’s formeing a bipartisan Rural Economic Working Group, which is meeting in Washington DC for the first time this week:
The Senator created this group to highlight what’s working in Rural America and bring these ideas back to Congress. She’s had the chance to rural areas across the state—including International Falls—and is impressed by the creativity and energy of Minnesotans coming together to help their communities thrive during a time when many farm families and rural businesses find themselves facing a tough ag economy. Republican Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota, Republican Senator Deb Fischer of Nebraska and Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin are also members of the group.
